BIOGRAPHY

As an associate attorney and valued member of the firm’s defense litigation team, Rachel Harris, Esq. brings a wealth of legal expertise and a passion for client advocacy.

A graduate of the Brooklyn Law School, Rachel has been admitted to practice in the State of New York. She joined the Hoffman Matlin & Monroy, LLP team in August 2024, leveraging her prior experience in commercial litigation to now focus her exceptional abilities on the dynamic realms of insurance defense, with a particular emphasis on general liability and labor law matters.

Rachel’s path to the legal profession was paved by her academic journey, where she graduated from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a dual focus on political science and English literature. During her time there, she developed a keen interest in the law through an impactful internship with the New York State Courts Office of Policy and Planning, a formative experience that would shape her future as a legal professional.

Beyond her impressive academic and professional credentials, Rachel’s diverse array of personal interests and hobbies further underscore her well-rounded nature. In her free time, she enjoys the physical and mental challenges of running, the creative fulfillment of baking, and the therapeutic practice of crocheting, all of which contribute to her ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
